ActionAid is committed to helping people who have been adversely affected by conflict, natural disaster or poverty. It has initiated projects in more that thirty countries over the last four decades, with the aim of helping people to bring about long term improvements in their lives, through such activities as poverty reduction, protection, mine action, livelihood recovery, emergency response and research.
