Researcher biography
Dr. Sara Lindberg Bromley is a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University (Sweden), where she received her PhD in 2017. Sara’s principal research interests are in international peace operations, political violence, and civil war dynamics, including civilian protection and peacekeeping personnel’s safety and security, with a regional focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
Between 2023 and 2024, Sara was a Visiting Academic and postdoctoral researcher based at the Asia Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and School of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Queensland. You can learn more about Sara’s work here.
