Global Responsibility to Protect journal recognised in 2014 rankings of academic publications
SJR Journal Rankings have ranked Global Responsibility to Protect as the 38th journal for 2014 in the fields of Politics and International Relations.
Global Responsibility to Protect (GR2P) is the premier journal for the study and practice of the responsibility to protect (R2P). This journal seeks to publish the best and latest research on the R2P principle, its development as a new norm in global politics, its operationalization through the work of governments, international and regional organizations and NGOs, and finally, its relationship and applicability to past and present cases of genocide and mass atrocities including the global response to those cases.
GR2P is edited by a team of researchers from the Asia Pacific Centre for R2P: Alex J. Bellamy, Sara E. Davies, and Luke Glanville.
Submissions to GR2P are sought from academics and practitioners conducting work related to R2P. Potential themes and topics include, but are not limited to: Genocide and mass atrocities, Collective action to prevent genocide, Sovereignty, International organizations, Regional organizations, Conflict prevention, Conflict resolution, Peace operations, Peacemaking, Peacebuilding and statebuilding, Humanitarianism, Humanitarian Intervention, Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Sexual violence and gender, Human Rights, Global governance, Capacity building, International law.
