Risk Assessment Series Volume 16: Solomon Islands

15 Apr 2021

APR2P has released its latest edition in the Risk Assessment Series, this time examining the Solomon Islands.

After intense ethnic violence, called 'the Tensions', almost left the country as a failed State, the Solomon Islands has made great gains in rebuilding and moving on from its violent past with the help of regional neighbours.

However, endemic corruption, lingering social divides and widespread sexual and gender-based violence means risks remain that atrocity crimes may again be committed within the country.
