Asia Pacific Regional Outlook
First published in early 2016, APR2P’s new online quarterly magazine provides a comprehensive overview of the critical issues relating to the implementation of responsibility to protect in the Asia Pacific region. The Regional Outlook aims to act as a bulletin, giving a concise analysis through informative content as well as infographics.
Each issue of the Regional Outlook utilizes the UN’s framework of analysis to evaluate risks of atrocity crimes in the Asia Pacific and provides a separate overview for the risk of widespread and systematic sexual violence in the region. The magazine also reviews the efforts made to address those risks and identifies any potential future triggers. To enhance the implementation of the responsibility to protect in the Asia Pacific, the Regional Outlook subsequently provides a number of recommendations for policy makers and gives an evaluation of the institutional developments and capacity building efforts.
In November 2016 the APR2P centre has commenced publication of the Risk Assessment Series.This series provides a comprehensive anaylsis of the risk factors for atrocity crimes using the United Nations Framework. To view volume 1Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste
