Dr Charles Hunt
Dr Hunt is the Vice-Chancellor's Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Global Research and the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies at RMIT University, Australia. He was formerly a Lecturer in International Security in the School of Political Science and International Studies at UQ and APR2P's Program Leader (Protection of Civilians) from 2008 - 2012.
He has a PhD in International Relations, an MA in International Studies (International Peacekeeping) and a BSc (joint honours) in Economics and Political Science. His research focuses on the relationship between R2P and peace operations as well as a range of peacebuilding programs focused on protection of civilians and security and justice sector reforms.
Charles has worked closely with the Australian government on assessing their role in international peace operations and continues to perform consultancy roles with the UN and a number of international humanitarian NGOs.
