Richard Bell

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland researching the Quality of Governance (QoG) Peace Theory by considering violent protest at the sub-national level. My research is being conducted through the School of Political Science and International Studies and the School of Social Science. I am taking a mixed-methods approach with an initial quantitative study followed by proposed process-tracing via semi-structured interviews. I do occasional consultant work in international development programs specialising in Governance in Fragile and Conflict Affected States. I have worked in program design, evaluation and research.
