The Asia Pacific Partnership for Atrocity Prevention (APPAP) has released a statement urging the government of The Philippines to not sign into law a new anti-terrorism bill. The bill has the potential to heighten the risks of human rights violations and atrocity crimes in a country already suffering from extrajudicial killings and other human rights abuses.
The statement can be downloaded from the Statements page. Alternatively, it can be accessed from the APPAP website.
