Dr. Lauren Sanders

Researcher biography
Dr Lauren Sanders is a Research Fellow with the Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect as well as an adjuct Associate Professor at the TC Beirne School of Law, both at the University of Queensland. Lauren’s current research focus is on accountability in practice during the conduct of hostilities and application of the obligation to stop, prevent and punish breaches of the laws of armed conflict. Her broader research and teaching interests include international criminal law, international humanitarian law and domestic counter-terrorism law. She is the editor of APIL's Law and Future of War podcast where she interviews experts in the fields of law and emerging and disruptive technology, military strategy and military affairs.
