Professor Edward Luck
Professor Luck was a Professor at Columbia University and former Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on the Responsibility to Protect.
He was a key figure in developing R2P in the UN system, as well as providing commentary and US Congressional testimony on R2P, peacekeeping and other foreign policy issues.
Professor Luck received his BA from Dartmouth College and numerous graduate degrees in international affairs and political science. He was widely published in the fields of R2P and international relations and is remembered as one of the world's leading experts in international conflict, the UN, and R2P.
