Hanh's research interests include human rights, peacekeeping, R2P and examining Vietnam's foreign policy. Her PhD thesis specifically examines Vietnam's socialisation in international institutions and its efforts in protecting the rights of women and children.
She holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV).
