In 2018 the first regional Youth Summit on Atrocity Prevention was held in Bangkok, Thailand. During the Summit, participants from nine countries within the region were trained in how youth leadership could further atrocity prevention and peacebuilding in the Asia Pacific. At the end of the summit, the participants issued a Statement of Commitment (PDF, 175KB), pledging to establish national youth focal points for atrocity prevention and a leadership network to further support their efforts.
