A new report commissioned by the APPAP Gender and Atrocity Prevention Working Group entitled "Gender-based atrocity crime prevention: Linking the Responsibility to Protect; Women, Peace and Security; and women’s rights agendas in the Asia Pacific" has been published.
This important overview provides a foundation for enhancing gender-based atrocity prevention in the region, and identifies ten recommendations for states and regional organisations to improve gender-responsive early warning, and strategies for structural, direct and late-stage prevention.
The report can be read and downloaded from our Gender and Atrocity Prevention page.
