30 Fijian civil society organisations have met for an inaugural workshop on the Resonsibility to Protect, co-hosted by the Fiji Council of Social Services and APR2P.
At the end of the workshop, the participants published a statement outlining commitments to strengthen atrocity prevention and R2P in Fiji. They also suggested recommendations for Fiji' government in furthering atrocity prevention within the country and the wider Pacific region.
The statement can be read here (PDF, 692KB), or can be downloaded from the R2P Pacific Project page.
