A new report released today highlights the dynamics of Thai-Myanmar relations in the context of the February 2021 coup, which saw the Tatmadaw take power in Myanmar.
Drawing information from documentary research, interviews and visits to areas along the Thai-Myanmar border, this report analyses the effects of Myanmar's crisis in five key areas, namely: migration, trans-border security, economic affairs, diplomacy, and geopolitics.
The report can be downloaded and read here (PDF, 977KB), or from the Thailand section of our Responsibility to Protect in the Asia Pacific page, along with other research related to Thailand and R2P.
