Risk Assessment Volume 20: The Philippines

28 Apr 2022

APR2P releases its newest volume of the Risk Assessment series today, focusing on the Philippines.

Volume 20 examines the most recent effects of President Duterte's war on drugs, and builds on APR2P's first assessment of the Philippines in September 2018.

Using the UN's Framework of Analysis for Atrocity Crimes, the Risk Assessment identifies several general risk factors as well as triggering events that may affect the chances of atrocity crimes occuring in the country, including the upcoming presidential election.

The Risk Assessment can be downloaded here (PDF, 1.9MB), or from our Risk Assessments page, along with previous Risk Assessments of the Philippines and other countries within the Asia Pacific.
