APPAP partner Research Initiatives Bangladesh earlier this year conducted a research project aimed at Buddhist communities in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.
Through Participatory Action Research, participants learnt to identify, address and solve social problems in their communities, most notably hate speech along racial and religious lines.
The project equipped participants with the skills to deal with societal problems they encountered within their communities, and lessened the impact of hateful speech dividing societal groups.
