APR2P today releases its latest addition to the Risk Assessment Series, this time examining Cambodia.
The latest Risk Assessment builds upon the first iteration of research into Cambodia's atrocity crime risks in July 2018. It examines recent developments in the country, including its response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its current chairmanship of ASEAN.
The Risk Assessment finds recent policies enacted by the Cambodian People's Party under the leadership of Hun Sen, and the backsliding on democratic and human rights structures has meant there is a moderate chance of atrocity crimes occurring within Cambodia.
