APR2P, in conjunction with the Myanmar Accountability Project, co-hosted the webinar "Myanmar's Representation at the UN", on 28 June 2022.
The webinar examines through a panel discussion the question of who should best represent Myanmar at the international level since the country's military coup in February 2021: the military junta or the civilian government?
This question is currently unresolved and inconsistent, with Myanmar excluded all together from the Human Rights Council. The webinar brings together five experts in their field to discuss this issue of representation and put forward some recommendations as to what the international community should do.
