Asia Pacific Regional Outlook - August

16 Aug 2023

The Centre today releases its latest edition of the Regional Outlook for August 2023.

This edition provides a snapshot of atrocity prevention in the Asia Pacific, with a particular focus on drug-related killings in the Philippines, inter-communal violence in Papua New Guinea, and the continued atrocities committed within Myanmar.

Further attention is paid to thematic issues such as sexual and gender-based violence, and the role hate speech and disinformation play in the commission of atrocities.

You can download and read the full Regional Outlook here (PDF, 955KB), or from our Regional Outlooks page, which contain summaries of the individual countries under analysis, as well as previous editions in the series.
