Noel Morada, APR2P's Director of Regional Diplomacy, and Mely Caballero-Anthony, have released an edited volume entitled COVID-19 and Atrocity Prevention in East Asia.
This volume brings together case studies of countries in East and South East Asia and examines their respective responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and its multi-dimensional threats to society, including its effects on the risks of atrocity crimes.
Using the UN's Framework of Analysis for Atrocity Crimes, the book presents relevant risk factors of atrocity crimes and how the pandemic has magnified and exacerbated such risks on already vulnerable populations.
The book is available for pre-orders now, either in harback or ebook form, from Routledge.
